UVScreenCamera

UVScreenCamera supports video capture in AVI, EXE, SWF, FLV, GIF, as well as in the internal format - UVF. Available functional editor with the possibility of frame editing.

Hypercam

HyperCam is a small free program for capturing video in AVI format.

All program options are tabbed, video capture settings are concentrated in the AVI File tab. Here you can specify the compression parameters of the selected codec, frame rate, other basic quality parameters.

It is worth paying attention to the capture parameters - you can select it manually or specify an application window. Full screen mode is set independently, there is no separate option. Using the hot keys indicated in the Hotkeys tab, the capture area is controlled during the shooting. Going to the Options tab, you can turn on the backlight cursor, add a text note to the screen.

The video is saved to the specified directory. There is no editor in HyperCam, so this, one can say, the possibilities of the program are exhausted by this.

If you draw parallels, then the functionality of HyperCam comes close to CamStudio. HyperCam has low system resource requirements, stable operation is possible on weak machines. Optimization tips from developers can be found in the Performance Tips section of the documentation.

Summary. HyperCam features are limited to capturing video in AVI format, the editor is missing. At the same time, thanks to a simple interface and low system requirements, the application can be used to create simple training videos with annotations, for example, in educational institutions.

Among the shortcomings: sometimes the sound may not be recorded, especially in the free version of the program. Apparently, the instument does not recognize external sound cards (this does not happen with internal ones).

Its main advantages are:

Despite the fact that I criticized her and didn’t support her very much (due to my rare work with video), I definitely recommend it for familiarization, especially for those who want to create a professional video (presentations, podcasts, training, etc.).

Despite the fact that this program appeared not so long ago (comparatively), she immediately surprised (from the good side :)) with her several chips. The main thing, perhaps, is that it is one of the simplest tools among analogs for recording video of everything that happens on a computer screen. (well, or a separate part of it). What pleases most of all in this utility is that it is free and there are no inserts in the file. (i.e., not a single label on which program this video is made of and other "garbage". Sometimes such things take up half the screen when viewed).

Main advantages:

1. to start recording, you need to: select an area and press one red button (screenshot below). To stop recording - 1 Esc;
2. the ability to record sound from a microphone and speakers (headphones, in general, system sounds);

• supports 1440p format;
• supports recording with sound from a microphone, from a sound in Windows, or simultaneously from both sources simultaneously;
• it is easy to start the recording process; the program does not “torment” you with a host of messages about certain settings, warnings, etc .;
• occupies very little space on the hard disk, in addition there is a portable version;
• supports all newer versions of Windows: XP, 7, 8, 10.

In my humble opinion - this is one of the best softin: compact, does not load the PC, the image quality, sound, too. What else is needed!?

Excellent software for fast and effective creation of demonstrative tutorials and presentations from a PC screen. Allows you to export video in many formats: SWF, AVI, UVF, EXE, FLV (including GIF animation with sound).

It can record everything that happens on the screen, including movements of the mouse cursor, mouse clicks, pressing the keyboard. If you save the movie in UVF format ("native" for the program) and EXE, it turns out to be very compact (for example, a 3-minute film with a resolution of 1024x768x32 takes 294 KB).

Among the shortcomings: sometimes the sound may not be recorded, especially in the free version of the program. Apparently, the instument does not recognize external sound cards (this does not happen with internal ones).

Fraps

The best program for recording video and creating screenshots from games (I emphasize that it is from games that you can’t just remove the desktop with it)!

Its main advantages are:

• built-in codec, which allows you to record video from the game, even on a weak PC (although the file size is large, but nothing slows down and does not freeze);
